MEET THE TEAM
Empire Hair was established in 2016, when a young, determined hairstylist had a dream.
Emma has worked tirelessly since that day to create a friendly, bubbly, yet professional atmosphere for everyone who walks in.
She prides herself in the fact that Empire Hair is the one place where everyone feels welcomed, and at home. Even bringing home awards that say just that!
From working as a one woman band, to slowly building her team up. Empire Hair now has 4 fully qualified and experienced stylists. Each having their own passions and talents, but striving for perfection every single time.
Empire Hair is an award winning salon, 2019 was the year that they was awarded runners up for Salon Of the year by the Evening Courier. 2020, Empire won Best Salon Ambience at the English Hair & Beauty awards, and even more recently winning Silver for Top Rated Salon of the year at The British Hair & Beauty Awards.
Empire Hair is well renowned for its creative colours and bespoke hair designs. Emma and her team are well known for creating amazing work, from bright & bold, to subtle and seamless. There’s nothing the Empire Hair team are shy of.
Empire Academy is a new innovative teaching school for aspiring hairstylists. We teach new skills, and provide you with lots of knowledge. Courses can vary from balayage skill shops, to creative colour skills shops. With each course you will gain back to basic knowledge and learn new tips and tricks from a well experienced hairdresser and business owner.
Emma
Owner & creative director
Emma has over 10 years of experience in the hairdressing industry. She’s built her knowledge and skills up over the years and is passionate about creating amazing colour work.
Colouring is Emma’s thang! There’s nothing she doesn’t know about the colour!
Emma is very honest when it comes to colour and style, as a salon Empire don’t “over promise”, we are realistic in what can be achieved.
Emma has recently set up the Empire Academy, which is a teaching school for hairstylists to gain knowledge and new skills.
Emma always sets new dreams and aspirations for herself, never wanting to sit still, but always providing the best services and the best products for her clients.
Alisha
Manageress & senior stylist
Alisha has over 8 years experience in the hair industry and has been apart of the team since the start of Empire Hair.
She is our Foiling Queen! Long hair is Alisha’s niche, and her Balayage and Ombré skills are 2nd to none. She is Emma’s right arm woman, and is an amazing and well loved part of the Empire team!
Kyle
Creative Stylist
Kyle has trained and grown with Empire Hair, learning his skills and knowledge from Emma & Alisha. He has gained Emma’s passion for colour, and oh boy is he good!
Creative colours & short hair is what Kyle loves! He’s very honest and professional when is comes to consulting with his clients and finding the perfect blend of colours and tones.
He’s the life and soul of Empire, he’s bubbly and refreshing and makes us all laugh every single day!

EMPIRE HAIR ACADEMY
Empire academy was founded in 2020 by Emma the owner of Empire Hair. She saw a gap in the market for education for her industry, so decided to take a teaching course to improve her knowledge and skills and get a qualification to provide the necessary services to hairdressers, and barbers.
Empire Academy provides courses such as, Balayage Skills Shop, Creative Colouring, Bridal Hair Skill Shop, and much much more.
Emma strives towards creating the best atmosphere and providing the best education for her students and staff members.
She is working towards being able to offer qualifications in such courses, and offering full insurance for her students to be able to offer these services to their clients, and to be able to add these skills and qualifications on their CVs.
Big things are in the pipeline for Empire Academy and we can’t wait to show you how we progress with this amazing venture!
